In a Lacquered Papier Mache Frame and Brass Bezel and Hangar with a Thistle Design
Labelled on the rear Cut with common scissors by Mr Seville, W Seville (1797-1866) was a silhouette artist working from around 1820-1845, making freehand cut silhouettes, some of which were bronzed - highlighted in gold, using gold or bronze powder mixed with gum arabic
Circa 1830s
Some damage to the papier mache frame reflected in price.
